Following in the footsteps of his dad, Manx GP veteran Gerallt Owen (whose race number "98" Paul adopted), Paul launched his racing career in 1991. In 1996 Paul entered the Isle of Man TT for the first time and he won the Newcomers Award in the Lightweight Race. Things have moved on a little since then and 2008 saw Paul lap the mountain course at an incredible average of 121.4mph on his Superstock Kawasaki ZX10R.
Paul's ability is beyond question and his achievements have been limited only by lack of funds... as he puts it himself: "We're a small team with a smaller budget... but with a very big heart".
year, Paul is continuing the #98 Club to help raise funding to run his R6 for the 2012 season. The first 98 people to complete the application and pay their £98 subscription will become members of this exclusive club. Members will receive an exclusive membership card and personalised club mug, eligibility to buy exclusive team clothing and six opportunities to win £98 worth of mugs4u.com products.
