Dave 'Wavey" Hewson started racing on april fools day 2000 (how fitting) on his 400 honda road bike.

It soon appeared that Dave was slightly rubbish but hard work and an analytical view of racing helped turn dave into a winner. After 3 seasons on 400's, and very nearly the Bemsee 400 title, Dave moved to MRO 600's for 2 seasons and then onto 1000cc kawasaki's in Superstock Cup and then Superstock Championship at BSB. But the roads called and Dave's first Real Road Race was the centenary TT where he recorded solid finishes in all races entered. Since then Dave has raced at Scarborough, NW200, Ulster GP and recieved 7 TT replica's for the collection.

Although he has been lucky to receive the continued support of The Other Bike Shop in Lincoln (as well as many quality brands including Motul, Ixon, Shark, HEL to name just a few), Dave funds the majority of his racing from his own, rather empty, pocket.
